Irani Cafe, Baner, Pune : Revival of the ‘Chaikhana concept from Iran’

Concept: 
Irani cafe is a place to drop in for an inexpensive cup of tea, wholesome snacks or a meal, or even to congregate and socialize. It a micro - environment that is classless - free from societal and religious distinctions and divisions. 
Conceptually, the indoor and outdoor spaces of the cafe, are treated in a way to create two different kinds of moods. The design of the indoor spaces is based on the inspirations derived from the ethos of the Iran streets and design for outdoor space is based on an intention to add humour to the decor, which will lead the guests to enter and exit the cafe in amusement. This cafe with such a rich history and a fascinating story, has reemerged with contemporary ambience, new textures and new flavors.
